You are invited to a co-production workshop focusing on improving the Short Breaks offer in Havering. This follows on from the co-production event held by the council on 29th October, and is part of the council’s commitment to work together with parents to improve services locally.

Havering Council would like to work with local children with SEND and their families to review the council’s current Short Breaks offer, and co-produce recommendations for how we can improve the offer to local families. In order to make sure that the Short Breaks available in Havering meet the needs of local children with SEND and their families, it is vital that the offer is designed by parents, children and families in collaboration with the council.

This workshop is the first step we will be taking in the process of reviewing the Short Breaks offer.

The workshop will take place on Friday 18th January from 10am to 12pm at Havering Museum, High Street, Romford

This workshop is for parents and carers of children with SEND, who have experience of using Short Breaks in Havering. The aim of the workshop is to review the Short Breaks currently available in Havering for children with SEND and their families, look at what is being offered in other places, and begin to co-design what an improved offer could look like.

Space is limited so please book now or contact [email protected] for more details.
