London Zoo Special Needs Day

Special Children’s Day is an annual event welcoming children with special needs and their families. With increased specialist facilities and staff, as well as special interactive events and discounted entry, Special Children’s Day is an exciting and exceptional event not to be missed. All Special Children’s Day activities are free and all Zoo visitors are welcome to join in the fun!

Highlights include friendly animal-costumed characters to meet, Singing Hands, wildlife gardening, sensory storytelling, Hands on Habitats, fun family art activities, chill out room and charity hub. There are live talks accompanied by BSL interpreters and an opportunity to meet some of the animals and keepers. Get close up and hands on in the ‘Touch Paddock’, or play in the splash zone, secret garden and tunnels.

Additional facilities, including changing hoists and bed, and a reserved picnic area for Special Children’s Day families, dedicated first aid & lost children’s post with qualified staff
Free all day parking for blue badge holders in the main ZSL car park.

Willows Farm

Willows Farm located in Hertfordshire is loads of fun everday whatever the weather.

A wholesome day out the whole family will enjoy. Our all inclusive price ensures a carefree day out with all shows, fun fair rides, inflatables, Tractor Ride, acres of outdoor and under cover activities plus entry to the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground included in the entry price. Enjoy the farmyard animals, the countryside setting with delicious home made food available in our catering outlets, gift shop, free parking and an easy to find location, just off junction 22 of the M25

The whole farm is wheelchair accessible and no hoists are available but they offer the use of their First Aid Room by asking  a member of staff if you need to change your child on a larger suitable area.

Hop Farm

The Hop Farm Family Park located in Kent is packed full of attractions for the children and fabulous places to eat and drink. Attractions include our ever-popular Giant Jumping Pillows, 4D Cinema, Combat Laser Quest, Driving School, Outdoor Adventure Play Area, Childrens Rides and live magic shows and discos from our entertainment team in the Big Red Barn!

The Animal Farm features meerkats, raccoon dogs, llamas, donkeys, emus, horses and plenty of cuddly creatures to get close to. A daily timetable of activities ensures a fun-filled day out and a real treat for the family!

Marsh Farm

Marsh Farm located in Essex  is an Animal Adventure Park.

Set in over 30 acres of beautiful farm land surrounded by 300 acres of country park on the edge of the River Crouch.

Meet the animals, feed the birds in our walk through aviary, cuddle the pets and groom a pony. Then sample some of our delicious freshly prepared food, play in our extensive indoor and outdoor play areas, jump on our huge bouncy pillows or catch an amazing Show.  You have the opportunity to get  close to our animals allows you to learn and experience more.

Mountfitchet Castle

OPENING TIMES:

The Castle and Toy Museum will be open daily from: Saturday 12th March to Sunday 6th November 2016 10am-5pm including all weekends and Bank Holidays. Please note – the Toy Museum closes at 4.45pm. (from Sunday 30th Oct 2016 the Castle will close at 4.00pm (3.45pm for the Toy Museum) to coincide with the end of British Summer Time)

Last Admission is 4.00pm. (We recommend a minimum of 2 hours to ensure you enjoy the full extent of our complex. Please try and arrive as early as you can to achieve maximum value for money) (Please note that from Sunday 30th October 2016 the Castle complex will close at 4.00pm to coincide with the end of British Summer Time. Therefore, the last admission time will be 3.00pm.)

ADMISSION PRICE:

Ticket price includes entrance into Mountfitchet Castle, The House on the Hill Toy Museum and the Dinosaur Encounters.

Adults £10.50    Children(3-13yrs) £8.50     OAPS £10.00

To visit the Haunted Manor in the Toy Museum you will have to pay a small extra charge.
