About Positive Parents

Following the Government Aiming High for Disabled Children (AHDC) initiative, in March 2009 all parents of children with disabilities were invited to attend a daytime presentation organised by the London Borough of Havering.

The purpose of the meeting was to empower parents to set up a forum to represent the needs and views of all parents & carers of children with disabilities and/or additional needs.

Following a period of training Positive Parents was formed in September 2009.
